The highlight of the conference was the official launching of QOOT, the first Agri-food innovation cluster in Lebanon working on increasing the competitiveness of the agri-food sector and placing Lebanon back on the international innovation map.

The most promising agri-food startups demoed their innovative solutions

Startups enrolled in the Agrytech Accelerator Program debuted their products and services for the first time to the public. For the past six months, the nine startups have worked to solve agri-food challenges across the entire value-chain using science and technology with the plan to scale internationally.

Carla Tanas, our keynote speaker at Lebanon Agri-Food Innovation Day 2019 (AFID) and founder of the Future Agro Challenge, joined the Agrytech Team and the competition’s jury to announce the two winners of this year’s local edition of FAC: Compost Baladi – Lebanon Agripreneur of the Year 2019, and Clean2O, first runner up.
